ACTIVE SYNDROMIC SURVEILLANCE
Active Syndromic Surveillance (Syndromic Surveillance) refers to the ongoing collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of syndromic data. Syndromic Surveillance gathers pre-screening, screening, diagnostics and vaccination data to determine the SYNDROMIC RESULT (Positive or Negative). When an individual visits a location, his/her information is anonymized based on Privacy settings, and the SYNDROMIC RESULT is sent to the location's manager. The aggregated information from all visitors in a location, referred to as "Population Health Analytics" or "Location Health Information" is distributed to everyone visiting the location.
Pre-screening Syndromic Surveillance dynamically creates set of pre-screening Yes/No questions.
Screening Syndromic Surveillance allows location managers to collect vitals at the point of entry (POE) or through Random screening. It uses vitals data to analyze and determine the SYNDROMIC RESULT (positive or negative).
Diagnostics Syndromic Surveillance aggregates data from lab (PCR or Rapid Test) systems and uses it in determining the SYNDROMIC RESULT.
Vaccination The vaccine data when available, is also taken into consideration in determining the SYNDROMIC RESULT.
The Population Health Analytics of a location is available at any time, on-demand, to any individual checking the health of a location. At frequent intervals, Syndromic Surveillance continues to update visitors about the health of the current location.
